Leather girls Of Color

Our HERstory

Once upon a time, circa 2020, there were these little Black and Brown girls who were looking for a brave space, a space where they could be their big, bold, beautiful selves, a space that they could call home. A year later, what would soon become everybody’s favorite “girl gang” was born…

What started as a seed — an idea lovingly planted by Master Eli Ra of the Illuminati House of Ra — found fertile ground in the hands of Bratty Azzassin, who nurtured it with vision, integrity, and a whole lot of sass. From whispered dreams to group chats, from kitchen tables to Zoom rooms, the Leather girls of Color (LgOC) garden began to bloom.

Our Flags & Logos

The original Leather girls Of Color flag and logo (left) was created and designed by Master Eli Ra and the Illuminati House of Ra in 2020. The current flag and logo (right) was established in 2021.

The official LgOC flag colors are fuchsia, black, shades of brown, and red.

  • Fuchsia represents our identity as girls.
  • Black represents the Leather community.
  • Shades of brown represent our BIPOC identity.
  • Red represents our service heart.

The nine hearts surrounding our logo represent the nine tenets upon which we stand firmly and strive to embody in the Leather lives that we lead: respect, honor, courage, honesty, integrity, loyalty, service, perseverance, and duty.

Our Membership Classes

Our classes are the living chapters of our story, each one carrying forward the mission and magic of Leather girls of Color. The Foundation laid the groundwork with vision and bold intention. The Heritage (formerly Operation Deuce) deepened our roots, honoring those who came before while carving new paths. The Legacy continues to build with purpose, bridging tradition and transformation. Each class strengthens our identity and reaffirms our commitment to community, growth, and the values that shape our journey.
